Training

We aim to stimulate and increase the production of cross-border local investigative journalism across Europe. Our training programmes will be an opportunity to acquire or empower the skills of journalists and, hopefully, establish a European network of local journalists. Our goals are not just to fund journalists to bring their stories but also make European independent local news media sector more sustainable and resilient by training them in management and innovative business models.

Safety

We aim to empower and improve the skills of journalists to conduct cross-border investigative journalism in Europe, enabling networking and knowledge sharing, and stimulating durable collaborative networks. In this project, we will offer an online safety/risk assessment course to 30 journalists (including the grant receivers) and provide ad hoc safety advice from safety experts upon request.
